TELES opens test laboratory for end devices

From now on, manufacturers of end devices will be given the opportunity by TELES to test their products in the laboratory for their compatibility with components of the Berlin-based telecom specialist.

Berlin/Vienna, 15. March 2013. In the context of an Interoperability Test (IOT), manufacturers will now be able to test end devices for their operability combined with TELES components. "For our customers, this means: Our solutions are always state-of-the-art, independent from the manufacturer and compatible with the leading end devices," said Oliver Olbrich, TELES Chief Operating Officer.

This will also provide the manufacturers with tangible benefits: "After passing the tests, users can be sure that the respective end devices are compatible with our solutions and products and can easily be integrated, without restriction, into a TELES environment. The successful test and the IOT certificate therefore represent a clear purchase signal for users as their investments are protected and they do not have to fear any functional limitations." Manufacturers have thus additional sales arguments in hand, also save support costs and shorten development times through early tests.

All manufacturers of end devices may apply for the IOT program by TELES and test their products in a live-environment. TELES offers three certificates. In level 1 (Basic IOT), basic functions in interaction with the internet-based telephone system IP Centrex by TELES are tested. In level 2 (Advanced IOT), all functions of the telephone system with the end device are fully validated.

At the highest test level 3 TELES and the manufacturer of end devices agree on a technology partnership: In addition to the requirements of Basic and Advanced IOT both partners agree on an in-depth development cooperation with which functionalities and comfort applications such as auto-provisioning and synchronization of features and users are guaranteed.

The IOT lab by TELES is operated in Vienna, where tests with multiple devices can be completed simultaneously.
